Choose a safe and favorable spot to park

Always park your car in a safe zone that doesn’t support the chances of robbery. Keeping your car in a dedicated parking space is much more important and better than parking it in an open space where anyone can break or steal your car easily.

Safety and Security

Keep your car covered to keep it protected from direct sunlight, dust, bird droppings, and thieves. Use thick bed sheets if you don’t have a car cover. Also, wash these sheets and covers weekly, you don’t want your car to be covered with something dusty for months.

Keeping it Clean

Start the air conditioner of your car and get rid of the dust particles in the cabin, do this thrice a month. Clean the exterior and the interior to prevent unwanted smell, bacteria, and rust. Also, don’t leave any food items inside or near your vehicle to avoid rodents which can cause substantial damage to your car.

The battery is important!

It’s essential to take good care of the battery, do so by removing the connections and preventing it from getting discharged. Also, use a multimeter and keep checking the voltage of the battery regularly. If you have an electric vehicle, try to keep the charge between 50-70%.

Avoid handbrakes and heartbreaks

Inactivity can get the handbrake jammed. Corrosion can jam the moving parts. Thus, engage the first gear of your car and follow the conventional trick of putting a brick, stone, or a piece of wood in front of the tires to stop the car from moving.

Not tiring the Tyres

Your tires may lose air over time due to the prolonged duration of being parked. It is important to keep maximum tire pressure.  You can do so by repositioning your vehicles every three days to keep from tire damage.

Don't be a fool when it is about fuel

Owners should keep maximum fuel in the tank to avoid condensation inside the fuel tank. If it’s not done then it can cause rusting inside the tank. You can also add a  fuel stabilizer which helps in preventing gumming, rusting, and evaporation.
